“Your task is not to seek for love, but merely to seek and find all the barriers within yourself that you have built against it.”

Kimberly is Our Teen, Relationship & Trauma Expert
Kim is a compassionate and skilled therapist who believes in the power of cultivating long-term, meaningful relationships with her clients. Her approach is centered on fostering a shift in perspective, enabling greater flexibility, openness, and opportunities for personal growth. With extensive experience working with diverse populations in both in-patient and out-patient settings, Kim specializes in treating eating disorders, anxiety, trauma histories, relationship challenges, and depression.
Kim has a deep appreciation for the complexities of human connection—our innate need for it, as well as the fears that often accompany it. She recognizes that many of our defenses are shaped by experiences throughout our development, both internally and externally. By exploring and understanding these defenses, she helps clients minimize barriers to connection, paving the way for richer and more fulfilling relationships. Left unchecked, these defenses can lead to lasting personal and relational struggles, detracting from life’s most meaningful experiences.
Kimberly Believes in Your Innate Capacity to Heal.
Kim incorporates biofeedback into her sessions, emphasizing the natural rhythm of interaction between therapist and client. This dynamic creates a space of acceptance and safety, where clients can confront their fears of connection—both to others and the world around them. Above all, Kim values the therapeutic relationship, as it is the foundation for a safe and transformative healing process.
Kim’s extensive training includes certification in Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR) and Trauma-Focused Equine-Assisted Psychotherapy (TF-EAP). She also has a strong foundation in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT). Currently, Kim is expanding her expertise in bio- and neurofeedback under the guidance of Ed Hamlin, Ph.D.
Outside of her practice, Kim finds joy and balance through her love of animals and the outdoors. She spends much of her time with her Arabian horses and her dog, Frankie, and enjoys exploring Utah’s stunning landscapes through fly fishing, hiking, and camping.
