“It’s not about feeling better. It’s about living better.”
—Alberto Valdez
Inclusive, Relationship-Centered Adult Therapy
Alberto believes healing happens in safe, emotionally attuned relationships—whether that’s with ourselves, our partners, or the communities we hold close. As a gay, Hispanic therapist raised by Mexican immigrant parents, he brings warmth, cultural humility, and deep respect for identity into the therapy space. Fluent in Spanish and English, Alberto offers inclusive care that’s rooted in connection, collaboration, and a genuine commitment to supporting those whose voices haven’t always been heard.
Clients often describe Alberto as calm, compassionate, and deeply present. He is especially drawn to working with LGBTQIA+ individuals and couples, people healing from attachment wounds, and families seeking to understand each other more fully. He takes a relational, experiential approach, often inviting important people into the therapy room when it supports the client’s healing. He believes therapy is less about chasing happiness and more about living a life that reflects what truly matters—even in the midst of pain or uncertainty.

A Therapist Who Walks Beside You in Life’s Mess and Meaning
Alberto earned his master’s degree in Marriage and Family Therapy from Utah Valley University, following an early career in the medical field. This background shapes his appreciation for the mind-body connection and the ways our relationships impact our wellbeing. In session, he’s not interested in giving advice or offering quick fixes. Instead, he walks alongside clients as they explore who they are, what they long for, and how to build more secure, fulfilling connections.
Whether you’re navigating identity, grief, anxiety, or simply seeking deeper connection, Alberto offers a space where all parts of you are welcome. He also brings a personal understanding of neurodivergence—he has ADHD and gets what it’s like when your brain doesn’t follow a straight line. He’s here for the mess and the meaning.
When he’s not in the therapy room, Alberto is probably outside with his not-so-small zoo: Nigerian Dwarf goats, chickens, parrots, dogs, and fish. Nature is where he reconnects with what matters—and if you hear a bird chiming in during your virtual session, it’s just one of the parrots offering their two cents.
